Pharmacy and Supply Unit

A. Inpatient Pharmacy

  1. Ensuring the supply of drugs to the ward / unit for the prescription / order is received within 3 hours during office hours.

B. Outpatient Pharmacy

  1. Each received prescription drugs will be supplied within 30 minutes.
  2. Ensuring customers registered with Appointment System Pharmacists get medical supplies follow-up on the promised date.

C. Pharmaceutical Logistics

  1. Supply standard item to the subscriber units do not exceed 14 working days after the order received.
  2. The supply of non-standard items to the subscriber unit after the order is received, no later than 3 working days after received supplies in Pharmaceutical Logistics.


A. Inpatient Pharmacy

Pharmacy patients in a holding unit which provides supply services to patients in the ward basis "of Unit Dose" and "Unit of Use" and the supply of drugs traditionally to the other units in the hospital.

B. Outpatient Pharmacy

Outpatient pharmacy is a unit that provides outpatient medical supplies to the outpatient clinics, specialist clinics and emergency units. Counseling services provided to patients for the first time introduced to the use of an inhaler and medication such as insulin. Counselling is also made to patients referred by medical officers.

C. Methadone

This unit began operating in January 2007. Pharmacists dispensing drugs to patients who have registered with Outpatient Unit. Close cooperation between medical officers and pharmacists are emphasized to ensure patients receive proper treatment and MOH vision is achieved.

D. Pharmaceutical Logistics

This unit provides services procurement and supply of medicines and non-drug (medical equipment). A professional approach to procurement to ensure a balance in terms of the provisions and requirements of the users is emphasized.

E. Other Services Offered

  • IDDS (Integrated Drug Dispensing System). Patients can apply for medical supplies in the hospital / clinic nearby.
  • MTAC (Medication Therapy Adherence Clinic). Monitoring the use of drugs as well as education and counseling to patients by pharmacists to improve the quality of care, safety and efficacy of a given treatment.
  • CG (Collect 'n' Go). Added services - appointment system.
    Offered to patients in need of medical supplies for more than one month. Patients will be given a card and must be present on the date fixed for the next take medication supply without long queues.
